About Us

What Is Concrete Leveling?

Concrete Leveling is the process of lifting cracked or settled concrete floors or slabs back to their original state. Leveling eliminates tripping hazards that occur as the surface beneath the concrete begins to deteriorate or wash out, causing slabs to shift or buckle. Concrete leveling is also referred to as mudjacking or slabjacking. Over time, soil settlement creates voids or empty areas beneath the slab. Without that support, the heavy concrete sinks, resulting in cracks and degradation. Mudjacking works because the process fills those voids, stabilizing the subsoils below. As the material is injected, the resulting pressure lifts the slab and returns it to an even position. Concrete Leveling is an alternative to concrete replacement, and it is the most widely used in the industry.

Why Does Concrete Sink And Crack?

It’s the substrate Underneath!

Many believe it’s the concrete itself, but in reality, it’s the washed out substrate and voids underneath that cause it to move and settle. We at Fortified Concrete Leveling, Inc., will determine where to drill holes into your sunken or uneven concrete based on the issues you may experiencing. While some holes are for lifting, others are for making sure the slab is completely void free underneath, for a solid foundation. To avoid binding, that can cause cracks, we must decide before the lifting process starts whether the concrete needs to be cut between the seams in order to lift the concrete independently.Portland Cement is included in our mud slurry, which is injected beneath your concrete and hardens to keep it from washing out. After pumping our mix into the designated areas, we will plug the holes, wash the area down, then patch the holes with concrete for a flush finish. The average job may take anywhere from 2 to 4 hours to complete and we ask that all vehicles stay off the areas for 2 to 3 days. We also recommend sealing your concrete cracks and joints after leveling, and the results will last even longer! In contrast to some other businesses, Fortified Concrete Leveling, Inc., offers a 2 year warranty on all of our work. Don’t be fooled by poly-foam injecting also called polyjacking. Most competitors will tell you their product is better, but why pay more for the same results?
